"Incomplete selection" or "No content available" at the simulator
What the missing-content messages at the simulator mean, formerly "Configuration incomplète", and how to make cars and tracks playable.
These messages appear when the simulator finds no car and track pair that it is allowed to offer. The player cannot start: the Assetto Corsa installation or the content turned on in NEXUS must be corrected.
Older versions of IGNITION showed "Configuration incomplète." (Incomplete configuration) in this case. This message no longer exists: it has been replaced by those on this page.
The symptom
| Message at the simulator | When it appears |
|---|---|
| "Incomplete selection — choose a car and a track." | At launch, on the summary. The simulator then goes back to the car selection. |
| "No content available — check the Assetto Corsa installation." | On the mode selection, or at automatic launch. The simulator then goes back to the experience selection. |
| "Could not find Assetto Corsa. Set the path in the settings." | When IGNITION starts. |
Possible causes
For a car to be offered, all of these are needed:
- it is installed in Assetto Corsa, with its preview image;
- it is active for this simulator in NEXUS;
- it is sorted into the chosen experience (Circuit, R.Dirt, R.Asphalt or Drift);
- at least one active track of the same experience is compatible with it (dirt or asphalt).
The same rules apply to tracks. A single missing condition is enough for the list to be empty.
| Cause | Example |
|---|---|
| The Assetto Corsa path is wrong or empty. | The simulator was installed without setting AC folder path, or Assetto Corsa was moved. |
| No active car or track for this simulator. | Everything was deactivated for this simulator in Content › Cars or Tracks. |
| No car and no track in the same experience. | Only Drift cars are active, but no Drift track. |
| The active content is not installed on this simulator. | NEXUS shows it with "Content not installed on this simulator". |
| The installed content has no preview image. | A car or track added by hand, without its image. |
Check, in order
Check the Assetto Corsa path
On the simulator, tap ⚙, General tab, ASSETTO CORSA block. The AC folder
path must point to the Assetto Corsa installation folder, usually
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa. Otherwise, click Browse…,
choose the right folder, then Save.
Check the active cars
In NEXUS, open Content › Cars. In the Simulators column, check that cars are active for this simulator, and look at their Experiences & options.
Check the active tracks
Open Content › Tracks and do the same check. Make sure that at least one active track shares an experience with the active cars.
Let the simulator update
The simulator picks up its content settings at the next lock or unlock, and at the latest within 5 minutes. Have it locked then unlocked from Simulators to speed this up.
Result
At the simulator, the experience selection offers at least one experience, and the car then track selection shows cards. The launch goes through without a message.
Good to know
- An experience with no playable content is not displayed. If an experience or a mode has disappeared from the simulator, it is because no car and track pair allows it.
- An offline simulator keeps its content. The list of cars and tracks comes from the local Assetto Corsa installation: an internet outage does not empty it.
When to contact support
Contact support if the Assetto Corsa path is correct, compatible cars and tracks are active for the simulator in NEXUS, and the message comes back after restarting IGNITION.
