Choose the weather offered
Choose, simulator by simulator, the weather presets the player can select before their session.
You can let the player choose the weather of their session at the simulator. NEXUS lets you decide, simulator by simulator, which weather presets are offered.
Turn on weather choice
By default, the player does not choose the weather. To offer them the selection screen, open Settings › Simulation and turn on Weather choice. The setting applies to all the center's simulators. See Set up game sessions.
Choose a simulator's weather
Open the page
In NEXUS, open Content › Weather. Each row is a weather preset installed on at least one simulator of the selected centers, with its name and its folder.
Tick the simulators
In the Simulators column, tick each simulator that must offer this weather. The
counter (2/4) shows on how many of the simulators where it is installed it is active. The
simulators where it is not installed are listed under Content missing.
To act on all simulators at once, use the Activate all and Deactivate all buttons at the top of the page (see below).

The box stays ticked and the Simulators block at the top of the page counts one more active weather preset for this simulator. On the next run, the simulator's weather selection screen shows one card per ticked weather preset.
Turn weather on or off in bulk
The two buttons at the top of the page act on all the simulators of the selected centers.
- Activate all turns on, on each simulator where they are installed, the weather presets that are displayed: if you have typed a search, only the weather presets found are affected.
- Deactivate all opens a selection mode: everything appears unticked, but nothing is saved yet. Tick Keep on each weather preset to keep, then click Save: the ticked weather presets become exactly the active weather presets of each simulator. Cancel leaves this mode without changing anything.
If a simulator's default weather is no longer active after the operation, it is removed.
Good to know
- Where the list comes from. Every minute, IGNITION sends the weather presets found in
Assetto Corsa's
content/weatherfolder. A weather preset is recognized if its folder contains aweather.inifile; its displayed name is the one on theNAME=line of that file. - No weather ticked. If weather choice is on but no weather is ticked for a simulator, the simulator offers 3 drawn at random from those installed, so as not to show an empty screen.
- Choice turned off: the default weather. When Weather choice is off, the screen
does not appear and the session is played with the simulator's default weather: the one marked with
the star ☆ (Set as default) next to a ticked simulator. Without a star, or if that
weather is no longer installed on the simulator, the session is played with the weather in the
4_mid_clearfolder. The same rule applies to auto-launch and to a multiplayer race. - Weather presets are not shared between simulators: install them on each one. Content sharing only covers cars, tracks and driver models.
Troubleshooting
