Issue a QR code from NEXUS

Hand a ticket to a customer at the front desk, find it, disable it, and create command QR codes to control the simulators.

The QR Codes page is used to hand a ticket to a customer who pays on site, to find any ticket issued, and to create command QR codes that control a simulator when scanned.

Issue a ticket

Open QR Codes, Tickets tab, then click Create ticket.

Choose the Client type, Individual or Company, then the Ticket format: Single ticket for a single QR code, PDF ticket bundle for several printable tickets (see Print a PDF ticket bundle).

Click the Product to issue. Its validity is applied; you can change it for this customer only.

Enter the customer's Driver username (16 characters at most) and Email. If you manage several centers, tick the Target center(s) where the ticket will be valid.

Click Generate.

Result

The window closes and the ticket appears at the top of the list, with the status Generated, then Sent once the email has gone out. The customer receives their QR code by email.

Find a ticket

In Tickets, the search accepts the email, the username or the full identifier of the ticket. The filters cover the format, the origin (Portal for NEXUS, Booking for the booking page), the ticket type, the client type and the dates.

ColumnContent
UsesUses remaining out of the total (3/5), or the daily maximum for a pass.
StatusGenerated, Sent, Used, Email failed or Error.
ActiveSwitch to disable or reactivate the ticket.

The eye icon, View QR code, shows the QR code; Download saves it as an image, so you can send it to the customer by your own means. The CSV button exports the tickets.

Disable a ticket

Turn off the row's Active switch. The ticket is immediately refused at the simulator with "This QR code has been disabled.". Its credit is kept: turning the switch back on makes it usable again. This right is reserved for the Center manager role and administrators.

Create a command QR code

A command QR code sells nothing: scanned at a simulator, it triggers an action. It is useful for the center's team, for example to restart a simulator without a keyboard.

In QR Codes, Command QR codes tab, click Create command QR.

Choose the Action:

ActionEffect at the simulator
RestartRestarts the simulator after 5 seconds.
UnlockOpens a session, after asking for the player's username. Ends maintenance and turns the screen of a simulator on standby back on.
MaintenanceTurns maintenance mode on or off.
Free accessSwitches the simulator to free access until the end date. Ends maintenance and turns the screen of a simulator on standby back on.

Set the Validity period, or tick Always active. For Free access, the end date is mandatory. The QR code is valid for the centers selected in the sidebar.

Click Generate QR, then download it from the list (View QR) to print it.

A command QR code can be reused as many times as needed during its validity, and each scan is recorded in the Log: with the status Scanned, then Success or Failure when the simulator has carried out the command. Its status is Upcoming, Active or Expired.

  • Edit changes its action, its centers or its validity without reprinting it.
  • Revoke stops it immediately and permanently: a revoked or expired QR code can no longer be edited, you must create a new one.
  • Revoking a Free access QR code does not interrupt a free access already open on a simulator: see Use a simulator in free access to stop it.

This right is reserved for the Center manager role and administrators: a Free access QR code opens paid simulators without a ticket. Keep printed command QR codes out of customers' reach.

"This username is already used by another account."Username taken by another customer.Ask for another username.
"⚠ … is not available at … — creation impossible."The product does not exist in all the ticked centers.Untick these centers, or link the product to them.

If a ticket's email could not be sent, the window closes anyway and a message says so: the ticket exists, with the status Email failed. Do not create it again: open it with View QR code and send it with Download.
