Validate or invalidate a lap
Read a lap time in NEXUS and correct its validity when a driver cut the track or a lap was wrongly invalidated.
Each lap completed on a simulator arrives in the Laps page, with its time, its sectors and its validity. There you correct a lap by hand when automatic timing got it wrong, or when a driver disputes their ranking.
Find the lap
Open the list
Open Laps, in the Activity group of the sidebar. The laps of the selected centers are shown, most recent first, grouped by day.

Read the lap

The ▸ arrow at the end of the row shows the details.
Change the validity
Click the button on the row
At the end of the row, click Invalidate to remove a valid lap, or Validate to restore an invalid lap.
Result
The lap's Valid column changes to Invalid or OK, and the button takes the opposite value. The Valid laps and Invalid counters follow within 30 seconds.
What validity changes
- In a challenge, the leaderboard keeps each driver's best valid lap. A driver who only has invalid laps stays ranked, after all the valid laps, with the tag INVALID — unless the challenge is set to Show valid laps only: their invalid laps then do not count at all.
- The best lap and the average time on the page only count valid laps. The Best lap counter covers the filters applied (Within filters), not the whole history.
- Public leaderboards update in less than a minute.

Good to know
- IGNITION invalidates a lap automatically as soon as more than two wheels leave the track during the lap.
- A lap is never deleted from this page. Invalidating it removes it from the top of the leaderboards without erasing the history; you can restore it at any time.
- Export: CSV downloads all the laps matching the filters displayed, with their sectors, their validity, the difficulty and the weather.
Troubleshooting

| "The change could not be saved." | NEXUS could not save the new validity. | Try again. |
| An invalidated lap still appears in a challenge | The driver has no other lap: their best invalid lap stays displayed, tagged INVALID, after the valid laps. | This is the expected behavior. To exclude it, tick Show valid laps only in the challenge. |
| The search finds nothing | Fewer than 3 characters entered. | Enter at least 3 characters. |
