Create a promotion
Create a promo code that your customers enter on the booking page to get a discount.
A promotion is a code, such as WELCOME10, that grants a discount as a percentage or a
fixed amount. The customer enters it on your booking page before paying.
Create the code
Open the form
In NEXUS, open Promotions, then click New promo. If you manage several centers, tick in Centers concerned those where the code will be valid.
Name the code
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Name | A name to find it in the list, for example Welcome 10. |
| Code | What the customer will type: letters, digits and hyphens, 40 characters at most. The Generate a random code button suggests one. |
| Client type | Leave Individual: it is the only type accepted on the booking page. |
Set the discount
- Discount type: Percentage (%) or Fixed amount (€).
- Discount % (from 1 to 100) or Amount €.
- Usage validity: Once limits the code to one use per email address; Multiple keeps it reusable by the same customer.
- Max redemptions: the total number of uses, all customers combined. 100 by default; empty the field to set no limit.
- Expires on: optional. See Good to know.
Target, if needed
- Eligible products › Restrict: limits the code to certain products.
- Eligible customers › Restrict: limits the code to customers who have already been to your center, chosen by email address.
- Availability calendar: leave Always available, or tick the time slots during which the code is accepted (a "happy hour" offer, for example).
captures/en/promotions/nouvelle-promoNew promotion form with the code WELCOME10, a 10% discount and the Once validityCreate
Click Create. The button stays grayed out as long as the name, the code and the discount are not filled in.
Result
The promotion appears in Promotions, with the Active switch on, its discount
(−10 %) and the Redemptions counter (0/100). On the booking page, the customer
who has chosen a product and entered their email can enter the code and click Apply:
the total then shows the reduced price and "You save …".
Stop a promotion
Turn off the Active switch in the list. The code is refused immediately.
A promotion cannot be edited: only its centers can change. To change the code, the discount or the validity, deactivate it and create a new one.
Good to know
- Expires on: the code stays valid until the end of the chosen day, center time.
- The calendar time slots follow your center's time.
- The code is checked again at payment, with the email address actually entered. If the customer changes address after clicking Apply, the discount is removed: they must apply the code again.
- A code is unique across the whole Omnisim platform. If "This promo code already
exists" is shown, another center may be using it: choose a more specific one
(
APEX-WELCOME10).
